Snowcontrol by the FIS and construction work from 27th of December

From 27th of December, the lower part of the Worldcup-slope will be closed because of the construction work for the races!

The snow control by the Technical Delegate of the FIS, Dusan Gorisek, should be only a formality, because the snow conditions are excellent!

Spectacular prepping of the Starting-Hill
A week before Christmas, our master machine groomers were busy prepping the 70% vertical at the top of the World Cup slope. It's the highest race start so far at Zauchensee at 2,175 meters -- 7,135 feet!

It was an impressive sight as the snowcats drove up and down the steep and demanding face of the Gamskogel 2175m, appearing to hang in mid-air. Thanks to their skill, we anticipate a successful start to the ladies downhill race. 

Good conditions at the worldcup slope

We have about 50cm of machine snow along the slope and we got also a lot nature snow. The conditions are already very good on the slope!

Some parts like the "Startschuss" and the Schikane and hotair will be prepared seperately.

Spectacular Ladies Races in Zauchensee!

Since 1980, Zauchensee has been home to many memorable World Cup races.

In January 2011, we are once again proud to host the World Cup ladies' teams.

We are looking forward to the competitions Super-G and Downhill on January 8 & 9, 2011 at the World Cup slope "Kälberloch" in Zauchensee!
