FIS Junior Ski Worldchampionships

The FIS Junior Ski World Championships take place in Altenmarkt/Zauchensee and Flachau the first time. The Speed-disciplines are in Zauchensee at the "Weltcupstrecke Kälberloch", the technical disciplines at the"Hermann Maier Weltcupstrecke" in Flachau!

Flachau and Zauchensee already hosted the worldcup finals 2002 and the european cup finals 2006 together.

Ski in, Ski Out!

Our region is wonderful! Zauchensee is the highest altitude ski area in the "Salzburg Sport World". There is a good reason we are known as the snow trap for miles around. Often Mother Nature blesses us with two meters of mountain snow well into the spring.
